Small Scratches on Wood Furniture: To hide
small scratches on the surface of your furniture, dust with a soft
cloth moistened with Potpourri Fine Furniture Oil. Oil will help camouflage
minor surface scratches. For more noticeable scratches, use these
coloring agents, rubbing in the direction of the wood grain:
Ebony -- black eyebrow pencil
Mahogany -- brown paste wax or dark brown crayon
Maple -- apply equal parts linseed oil and turpentine with a cotton
swab, let dry and buff.
Teak -- lightly rub with very fine steel wool with the grain. Apply
solution of equal parts linseed oil and turpentine.
Walnut -- break off a piece of fresh unsalted walnut or pecan nut
meat and rub freshly exposed surface on furniture.

Use Potpourri Fine Furniture Oil

- Apply Potpourri Fine Furniture Oil to
finished or sealed wood surface with clean, soft cloth like the # 149 Handi
Cloth
- Remove any excess oil with clean, dry # 167 Microfiber Lint Free Cloth. Buff, if necessary, to obtain uniform
appearance.
Note: Use of conventional
aerosol or non-aerosol furniture waxes with this product is not
recommended as wax and oil aren't compatible. Use only the oil. It
will also help remove wax buildup.
