To Prevent Ironed Fabrics from
Shining:
Ironing on the right side of most fabrics can cause a shine in the
material, which indicates age and wear. Iron light-weight fabrics
inside-out and heavier fabrics through a clean, lint-free cloth on
the right side.
Preventing Unnecessary Fabric
Wear:
Too much ironing wears out fabric. Ironing unlaundered clothes will
seal in odors and wear marks. Iron clothes only when necessary.
